Art production
Day of activity: students will complete these activities during the last week of the unit
Student Activities:
Rubric/checklist : The rubric will detail expected elements for approaching-, adequate-, and excellent- level projects for the following categories: personal connection, analytic connection, clarity of message, craftsmanship, and depth.
Art consumption
Day of activity/Student activity: students will interact with art in various ways throughout the ITU. Students will view videos, cartoons, and student art works on their chosen math and chosen science topics. Students will also observe other groups combined presentation art productions, and will be expected to analyze them to provide peer review feedback.
Graphic organizer: students will create their own graphical representations of content while they view art. Students can decide how they best see the material and the relationships between concepts to decide how they want to create their graphic organizer.
Checklists: students choose which art to consume from a "menu" or checklist where they indicate which they have chosen. They must choose a certain number of pieces to analyze depending on which topic they choose to study.

- Students complete activities related to chosen topic
- Students choose one math-related topic for either a presentation or an art production, and will do the other type (art or presentation) for the science topic they select.
- Students group according to which topic they decided to present on and which topic they decided to design an art project about
- Each group designs a story board or rough draft for their art or presentation and indicate the responsibilities of each group member
- Groups design their presentations/art projects
